Why recycled nylon?

Nylon is essential when you need a material that is ultra-light, strong and quick-drying, as in a down jacket.

However, the mass consumption and disposal of nylon, which is made from petroleum, produces large amounts of greenhouse gas emissions from incinerators, and has become a problem due to its negative impact on the global environment.

Tavitalium has a long history of creating comfortableand sustainable clothing, and has turned its attention to recycled nylon materials that reuse nylon resources without wasting them.

 Tavitalium has always wanted to reduce the incineration of clothing waste, so we have decided to produce clothing that can be returned to the earth.

We have been making garments made from a blend of compostable polyester and natural fibres.

However, in order to live in a sustainable way on our planet, it is not enough to just look at polyester.

760 FP (FILL POWER)

FP (Fill Power) is a measure of the down's "resilience", 760 FP means that 30g of down will resilience 760 cubic inches when tested under normal pressure.
